Artist Kathy Los-Rathburn

Kathy studied art at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. It is here while studying watercolor under Irving Shapiro that she found this media to be her passion. She holds signature memberships in two watercolor societies.
Kathy started exhibiting in 1971 and began her teaching career in 1974 at the American Academy of Art.
She plans every painting by doing value sketches to work out composition, color and design. Her work has received regional and national awards and can be found in corporate and private collections. She holds classes in her studio.
